Corporate info - History
Currently Holiday on Ice has
350 Skaters and
120 Crew members appearing in
5 Shows simultaneously touring in
3 continents, visiting
80 cities in
20 countries giving and
1.700 performances which are seen by approximately
3,000,000 visitors per year
Since the beginning in 1943, Holiday on Ice has appeared in
620 towns and cities in
80 countries and been seen by more than
295,000,000 people worldwide, which is an average of
5,000,000 visitors per year
Impressive statistics, but there are more. Each year more than
1,000,000 sequins are sewn on to some
350 costumes. That means that over the years
100,000,000 sequins have been used on
30,000 costumes. So have
40,000 kilos of rhinestones, that's
400 kilos in the past 20 years and
800 kilos in the first 40 years
On a more technical note:
since the show began, it has gone through
6,000 metres of footlights,
1,000 kilometres of electric cable,
900,000 electric light bulbs.
15 ice compressors, serving
15 portable ice floors moving the show equipment in
145 transport containers.
And how much does it all cost? Well if you don't include the existing investments, each new show costs at least
4,000,000 Euros to produce
