
As of August 1st 2011 the new division Stage Entertainment Touring Productions will be established. Based on the knowhow
and multi decade experiences of Holiday on Ice in touring entertainment products in arena’s and the bigger venues, this new division
will develop new business in the field of touring productions.
In the press release, the latest changes in the international board of Stage Entertainment as one of the consequences of installing this new
division are explained.
For upcoming season Stage Entertainment Touring Productions will tour and promote the existing Stage Entertainment musical productions
Mamma Mia! in France and Best of Musical in Germany.
Holiday on Ice will be a part of Stage Entertainment Touring Productions and will keep on producing and touring their world-famous shows including the brand new show Speed.
Stage Entertainment
Stage Entertainment was founded in 1998 by Joop van den Ende and now employs around 4,000 people worldwide, with bases in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, the UK, the United States, Russia and Italy.
In recent years it has worked with international partners to produce and tour the world’s biggest musical theatre titles including with Disney Theatrical Productions (Tarzan, The Lion King, Aida, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical), Littlestar (MAMMA MIA!), Andrew Lloyd Webber/Really Useful Group (Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Joseph), Jacobsen Entertainment (Dirty Dancing) and Vereinigte Bühne Wien (Roman Polanski’s Tanz der Vampire, Elisabeth). The company also develops and produces its own original work, such as Sister Act, Ich war noch Niemals in New York, Ciske de Rat, Ich will Spass! and Der Schuh des Manitu.
Stage Entertainment controls around 30 theatres and venues. The company has invested heavily in audience relations and customer care, a philosophy that stretches from foyer design to programming, exemplified in spaces as diverse as Fortis Circustheater in the Netherlands and the Theater im Hafen in Hamburg to the unique New World Stages, a five stage complex in New York City. 14 million people visit Stage Entertainment’s shows and performance spaces each year.
Stage Entertainment is shareholder in See Tickets International which sells 40 million tickets annually.
